Richmond Park: four Red-crested Pochard (P Boult).

Tice’s Meadow: Great Egret still in Plant Yard; also 2 Whinchats in The Meadow (Surrey first of autumn), Ruff, Oystercatcher, 3 Green Sandpipers and Common Sandpiper (R Dickey/M Nurse/R Seargent/L Winchcombe).

Thorncombe Street: Whimbrel flew over Allden’s Hill at 03:44 (E Stubbs).

Tice’s Meadow: Great Egret still in Bike Pool; also Black-tailed Godwit, two Green Sandpipers and Common Sandpiper (D Colledge/J Hunt).

Sunday 14 July

Beddington Farmlands: juvenile Yellow-legged Gull, Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover and juvenile Cuckoo (S Gale).

London Wetland Centre: eclipse drake Garganey, four Redshank and two Green Sandpipers (WWT).

Richmond Park: four Red-crested Pochard (J Wilczur).

Rotherhithe: 2nd-summer Yellow-legged Gull (same as 1 July) on River Thames shore by Doubletree Hotel (R Bonser).

South Norwood CP: Curlew flew west at 06:33 (J Hughes).

Tice’s Meadow: Great Egret again late afternoon (P Hughes).

Thursley Common: Great Egret (possibly not same as Tice’s) landed on Pudmore mid-afternoon and still present c.17:30 though mobile, then no further sign in evening (BirdGuides/D Brassington).

Walton on Thames: adult Caspian Gull flew over Anglers pub (D Harris).
