Imagine the confusion as a bird returns to the place that a few months previously had provided for all its needs. But now the landscape has changed, nesting scrub has gone to be replaced by roads and houses, food-rich wetlands now dried and reshaped for human development. Stopping the loss of nature’s homes has always been a priority and as pressures rise, the challenges grow. Nature reserves and protected areas are at the heart of saving nature. This is the story of the wildlife that thrives and the people that strive to protect the best. Andre will describe several special places throughout the UK and what we can do to help keep them safe

.The event also provides opportunity to find out about the new group and our plans for future events, including a programme of meetings and a variety of bird watching walks.
